Play any live stream, without the fuss
HexPlayer is a Windows player for your IPTV playlists and live streams. It handles HLS and DASH, ClearKey-protected streams, and streams that need special headers.
HexPlayer is available for Windows only right now.
Built for streams that are hard to play
Most players give up when a stream is protected or picky. HexPlayer is made to get past that.
Plays HLS and DASH
Open .m3u8 and .mpd links, or pick a local file. MP4, MKV, WebM and TS files play too.
ClearKey streams
Protected DASH streams that use ClearKey keys play without any extra setup.
Custom headers that stick
Streams that need a Referer or User-Agent just work, even when the video chunks come from a different server than the playlist.
Big playlists, smooth scrolling
Load playlists with thousands of channels, search them, and star the ones you watch most.
Controls where you expect them
Switch quality, audio track and subtitles. Change the aspect ratio, use Picture-in-Picture, scroll to change volume, and remap the keyboard shortcuts.
Dark and light themes
Switch the look of the app in Settings whenever you like.
The right player for each stream
HexPlayer includes four playback engines. On Auto, it picks one for every stream. You can also choose your own in Settings.
| Stream | Auto uses |
|---|---|
DASH streams (.mpd), including ClearKey | Bitmovin |
HLS streams (.m3u8) | HLS player |
| Other video files such as MP4 and MKV | Built-in player |
Want something different? Open Settings, choose Select Video Player, and pick HLS, Shaka, Plyr or Bitmovin.

Does HexPlayer come with channels?
No. HexPlayer is only a player. You add your own playlists and streams, and you are responsible for having the right to watch them.

Leave it on Auto. If one stream misbehaves, try another engine in Settings, then choose Select Video Player.
A stream won't play. What can I do?
Press Retry on the error screen first. If it still fails, press Copy Error and send the text to us on Telegram. It includes the details we need to find the problem.
